Wednesday, November 3
“Bullitt Reservation to Chapel Ledges” Meet at Baker’s Country Store, Rt 116 Conway, MA. for breakfast at 8:00 AM. Hike will depart from Bullitt Reservation, 332 Bullitt Rd. Ashfield, MA at 9:30. Hike will follow Two Bridges Trail to Chapel Falls, Chapel Ledges and the summit of Pony Mt. for the lunch stop. Around 6 miles round trip, mostly flat to rolling terrain, until we reach Chapel Ledges with a short climb to the summit. Plan for 1:00-1:30 pm return. Bring lunch and water. “Bear Hole to Ashley Reservoir” – Meet at 9am at the Bear Hole parking lot at the end of
Bear Hole Road in West Springfield. Easy fire roads; hike length about 6.5 miles. Equipment needed (if
any) and other details. Bring snack and water. Note: there are no bathrooms along this route...plan

 “Tekoa Mt.” - Meet at Friendly’s on (Route 202), 21 Southampton Rd, Westfield, MA

“Penwood State Forest” – Meet at 9am at Penwood State Forest, 560 Simsbury Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002. Leader: Tom Copp (860) 573-0328, Dog Friendly.

“Hike Clam River”  The Clam River Reserve contains a few loop trails that will be combined to create an approximately 4.5 mile hike. The Clam RiverTrail travels along the Clam River and is rated as moderate. The TRAILHEAD is located behind the Sandisfield Town Hall Annex located at 66 Sandisfield Rd., Sandisfield, MA 01255 (GPS: 42.1081, -73.1080). Parking is available at the Annex. Dogs are able to use this trail but must be under control or kept on leash. The HIKE WILL BEGIN AT 10:00 AM.  Bring lunch, snacks and drinks and snowshoes or microspikes if the trail conditions warrant them. “Mineral Hills Conservation”  Meet 10am at trail head, west side of Sylvester Rd, Northampton (0.2 mi north of Ryan Rd).  About 5 miles moderate terrain with a few early return options.  Traction aids and liquid replenishment required.  Bring lunch.  Dogs allowed only on leash.  If we have sufficient snow, we will ski Notchview in Windsor, MA instead.  Bring lunch, stay the day.  No dogs allowed at Notchview.  Please call, text or email day before if in doubt.  Leader:  Glenn Barnes 201-625-2744 (call or text) or .

“Rock Valley” - Meet on Old Rock Valley Rd, Holyoke, MA at 9:00. Hike the Rock Valley

Wednesday, December 22
Meet at 9:00 AM at the end of Wintonbury Rd, Simsbury, CT.  Hike the NET Section 18 and side trails in the James Property and Wilcox Park, about 4 miles.  Directions: Coming south on Rt. 202 in Simsbury, turn Left onto Rt. 315, go 0.35 miles, turn Right onto Terry’s Plain Rd. Go 0.6 miles, turn Left onto Wintonbury Rd., go to dead end in 0.2 miles. Park along the downhill side of the road or without blocking the gate. Dog friendly. Wednesday, January 19
Meet at Lake Bray parking lot, Mt Tom Reservation at 9:00 AM.  Take Reservation Rd. off Rt. 5 Holyoke (opposite the now closed Competitive Edge).  Hike the flatter trails around the lake and visit the abandoned quarry and the Trustee’s of Reservations hiking area.  Bring water and snacks for a 3 hour hike.  Leader: Mary Ann Siron (413) 579-1688 or

“Stanley Park” – Meet at 9:00 AM at 2nd entrance by the “restroom building”, bring lunch,
fluids, micro spikes or snowshoes, whatever makes sense for the weather! Hike the flatter trails and will stop by the covered bridge to see the geese, 2-3 hours. Leader: MaryAnn Siron (413) 579-1688, FACE MASKS are required. Dogs must be on leash.

“Ski Notchview” Breakfast at BlueBonnet Diner Rt.5 Northampton. Carpool to Notchview, Windsor Jams, for x-c skiing (if conditions are good!) Bring lunch, stay the day. Trail fee $15.00, $10 for members. Dogs NOT allowed. If not enough snow, will hike Fitzgerald Conservation area in Northampton, from North Farms Rd. parking lot. Will be notified by email. “Northfield Mountain” - Meet at the Wagon Wheel, 39 French King Hwy, Gill, MA for
breakfast at 8:00 AM or meet at 9:00 AM at Northfield Mountain Recreation Area Parking Lot. Hike
Northfield Mountain's Rose Ledges trail. (Snowshoes, if snow) micro-spikes are a must if hiking.  Visitor Center is not open.  Leader: Betty Siwinski (413) 427-6095, NO DOGS ALLOWED.Type your paragraph here.

Unless otherwise specified, breakfast is at 8:00AM at the restaurant listed and hikes begin at 9:00AM. Breakfasts are optional. Wear clothing in layers suitable for the weather. Trails may be icy, wear appropriate footwear (i.e. crampons). Hike leaders may refuse participation by unprepared hikers. If at least four inches of snow are on the ground the hike may be replaced by cross-country skiing or snow showing. Rain cancels. If in doubt about the conditions, contact the hike leader.
