Rides are offered on most Sundays, Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning in April through October. Sunday rides vary from leisurely to challenging, on many Sundays both forms are offered. Saturday rides are considered breakfast rides. The coordinator for the ride chooses the route and a restaurant stop during the course of the ride. Two "Breakfast" Rides are offered. The "Traditional Breakfast Ride" is approximately 20-30 miles long at a comfortable pace. The "Alternate Breakfast Ride" is 35-45 miles long at a moderate pace. The Wednesday rides are leisurely. Individuals usually meet for breakfast prior to the start at various area restaurants. Wednesday rides are sociable and very popular with our retired members.
From November through March, the Cyclonauts Bicycling Club continues to be active offering hiking schedules on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Cross-country skiing is often substituted for hiking if there is four (4) inches of snow on the ground.
You must wear an approved helmet, ride safely, courteously, familiarize yourself with the rules of the road and ride a bike that is in good repair. When you feel confident, contribute to the success of the club by offering to lead or co-lead a ride or hike during the course of the season. You can help support this organization is by providing a place to hold meetings or serving on a committee.
