November 1: "Quabbin Trails Hike" - Breakfast at Kristina’s Cafe & Bakery, 9 N. Main St., Belchertown. Hike from the Quabbin Visitor’s Center Parking lot, 1st entrance off Rt 9, Belchertown. November 8: "Mt. Monadnock Hike" - Meet at 7:00 AM to carpool from Stop & Shop Rt. 5/10 Northampton. Please be prompt!  Breakfast at 8:15 at Audrey’s on Rt 101 in Dublin, NH. Bring water, lunch, poles.  Hike Monadnock’s Cliff Walk Trail, $5 /per person.  Moderate hike with great views. Bring water, lunch, poles. No dogs. Leader: Mary Ann Siron (413) 568-3304 or

November 15: "Monoosnoc Ridge Trail Hike" - Meet at 7:00 AM to carpool from Big Y parking lot in S. Hadley, MA  Please be prompt. Hike Monoosnoc Ridge Trail in Leominster, MA or meet at 8:15 at Ed & Claire Gingras’ house 5 Kimberly Lane, Westminster. We will post cars and hike 1 way, hike is 9 miles along a ridge trail mostly on old roads with stone walls. Bring lunch, water. Nice overlook where we can eat. Dessert and drinks at Gingras’ after hike. Directions to Gingras’ 202 North to 2 East, take Exit 25 for MA-2A/ MA-140. Follow 2A East, after you pass Old Mill Restaurant, look for Kimberly Lane on Left, less than 1 mile. Leader: Claire Gingras or (978) 870-2483. No dogs!

Unless otherwise specified, breakfast is at 8:00AM at the restaurant listed and hikes begin at 9:00AM. Wear clothing in layers suitable for the weather. Trails may be icy, wear appropriate footwear (i.e. crampons). Hike leaders may refuse participation by unprepared hikers. If at least four inches of snow are on the ground the hike may be replaced by cross-country skiing or snow showing. Rain cancels. If in doubt about the conditions, contact the hike leader.
